About reef-a-holic
Biography:
35 y/o single male with over 15 years in the IT industry as a systems admin & developer. Also self proclaimed net-engineer, more of a net-specialist, but whatever :) I am also a bedroom (but truthfully, world class) DJ/producer of electronic music with over 100 hours of recording time in the studio, and 4 major albums released into the electronic music community. I have had more hobbies than I care to admit in my 35 years, obviously reef-keeping being one of the major ones. I was lucky to get into this hobby really, as the story goes like this: Growing up with my family as a young adult I eventually got bored with life and purchased a small 20 gallon "eclipse" system and set it up as a community freshwater tank. I loved it, went though many different types of communitys after one would die/fail (LOL, thats freshwater, at least it was for me)... One day I went to the Argosy Casino for my B-day and one 10 grand on a quarter slot machine. I used part of that money to get into the reef hobby with my first ever reef-tank; a 72 gallon bow-front AGA RR that I purchased from the Columbus, OH Aquarium Adventure retail store. From there, it has gotten ridiculous the ammount of time and money that I have put forth for this "passion" of mine. Recently I left my full time job to work from home and as an independant consultant and developer (for a couple of reasons, which I wont get into here), and have realized that it may be time to take a break from the reef hobby for a while. I was planning my firth reef-tank system since starting out in reefland in 1999 and during the new tank build I decided that it may be best to... heh, take a rest... :) At least untill I can find my better half soulmate or the time.... My love for the electronic music scene will never change or die, even when my physical self fades away one day, my soul will forever glisten with the love and respect for all of us in the scene.
